Forming a living interaction with the users, the BenD (or bendy) by designer Menno Kroezen is a modular chair that bends, as indicated by its name, into a compact size for easy storage as well as transportation. Finished with high-density polystyrene foam, the flexible chair presenting a quality bending mechanism supports the users in sitting down and getting up comfortably. When not in use, the chair becomes unfamiliar with its non horizontal seating surface, and once sealed, the BenD transforms into a perfectly comfortable chair, welcoming the guests by making a “bow like” invitational gesture.
